WKI is the breed association here in
North America. There is a quarterly newsletter and a National Kelpie
Trial and Meeting. When time and resources permit there are also
Regional Trials, usually on the West Coast.

RED RIVER CATTLE DOG
ASSOCIATION
The RRCDA is exactly
what it says. An all-breed association organized by a group of cattle
ranchers dedicated to the use of dogs in handling their livestock. Their
trial program is a no fuss, no muss point and time trial. No judges, no
canes, sticks, whips, leashes, caps, etc. Handlers are not permitted to
touch the stock though they are encouraged to assist their dogs if
necessary. It's plain old dog work and a great time.

WESTERN COWDOG ASSOCIATION
"The specific purpose of this
organization is to foster the tradition of the working cow dog by
supporting trialing, clinics, and other activities which promote
competition and education in the spirit of the rancher and his
dog." One of their goals was to become nationwide sponsoring a
national finals cow dog trial. Their successful and popular first
World Championship Cow Dog Challenge was held in Reno, Nevada the first
of March 2000.
